The excitement was palpable as we eagerly delved into the bags, discovering treasures waiting to be unveiled. It was like opening Christmas presents. The quartz plates, packed meticulously in large bags with grass and paper packaging, revealed a remarkable detail upon inspection – many of them were adorned with roots, indicating their shallow burial depths. This observation offers intriguing insights into their geological origins. Sorting through the plates, we meticulously separated the lower-quality pieces from the top ones and proceeded to cut the bases, ensuring each specimen could stand proudly, showcasing its best features. As we examined the clear and smoky varieties, our attention was drawn to dark, irregular sprays within them. A quick Google search identified these inclusions as Goethite, a rarity that adds a unique allure to our collect
